Losses & Gains | New Gloves
Thanks to Google memories I was able to recall that last year this time I'd lost my favorite pair of gloves. Looking back it seems a bit trivial, but at the time it felt like a real loss because they had sentimental value and the fit was the epitome of 'fit like a glove.'
I also recall that right before I'd lost those gloves, I'd decided to replace them because they were worn at the fingertips.
Why then, was I sad about losing something that I knew I needed to let go of anyway?
The answer is a lot to unpack, so I'll just sum it up by saying that I'm still learning how to let go gracefully. š It's a process.
In the meantime I'm going to enjoy my new purple, cashmere-lined gloves because I'm also learning that some losses are really gains.
