DIY Placemat Purse
Can you believe this purse was made using a placemat, a few pieces of trim, and a hot glue gun? Yep. And it was super easy. I’d been eyeing this craft project for some time and had every intention of getting around to it before summer ended. When I looked up and saw that it was already September, I knew that I had to make haste (do people even say that anymore?).
The finished project turned out to be a cute accessory for many of my summer dresses, including this maxi dress that I bought from WHBM many years ago. The reasons I’ve kept it for so long is because it’s comfortable and chic and can be worn for a multitude of occasions.
Total cost of supplies was about $8 per purse:
Placemats - $1.00 (they were on clearance)
Trim - $5.00
Magnetic snaps - $2.00
Hot glue gun and glue sticks - $0
Bulldog clips - $0
