Has it really been 12 months since I last used my passport???

Seeing this memory come up is not only a reminder that I miss traveling, but also of the lesson it taught me about being expectant and staying ready.

Before I got the passport that's in the photo, I had been secretly hoping for an international travel opportunity. And when it happened unexpectedly and out of the blue, I almost missed out on it because my previous passport was not up-to-date. I'd always assumed that if an opportunity like this came along, I'd have more time to plan and take care of all those pesky little details like getting my passport in order. Turns out, that pesky little detail was the one thing standing between me and a 5-week trip abroad.

The trip was something my heart desired, but since I couldn't see it on the horizon, I hadn't expected it so soon. I wasn't ready. I wasn't prepared. And I almost forfeited my chance at it.

Don't be like me. If there's something you're seeking to manifest in your life, even if you can't see a clear path to it, make sure you're prepared for its arrival. It could come when you least expect it. Stay ready.
