Taking Risks
Today at work, I attended a book club discussion of Carla Harris', Strategize to Win: The New Way to Start Out, Step Up, or Start Over in Your Career. It got me to thinking about the risks I've taken in both my professional and personal life when I decided to start over.
I reflected on the time of my late 30s when I decided to make some drastic changes in my life. I changed my career path. I changed my marital status. I changed from accepting misery as a way of life to being expectant of joy and belonging. I changed from people pleasing to purposeful living. Most importantly, I changed my perception of myself and the negative narratives in my head that held me back for so long.
During that time I took risks that had other folks questioning my sanity. Looking back, my only regret is not doing it sooner.
My advice for you today is simply:
Dream. Dare. Win.
Joyfully yours,
Traci
