Travel Well | Travel Challenge Day 10

You don’t have to travel far to travel well. Discovery and adventure can be nearby. No passport required. Day 10 of the travel challenge takes us to Charleston, South Carolina.

Charleston is consistently ranked as a top travel destination and offers the opportunity to travel well without having to travel far from home. It’s my third favorite city in the world after New York and Paris. And It’s also only a four-hour from home which makes it an ideal weekend road trip.

When I travel I like to eat, learn some history, and gawk at the architecture. Charleston offers that and more. It’s southern, coastal, charming, and full of culinary delights. Which brings me to why the Holy City holds such a special place in my heart – the Charleston Wine & Food Festival.

My family’s first bi-annual Thanksgiving getaway was also hosted in Charleston. Our rental in Isle of Palms gave us easy access to excursions on the beach and to the Battery in historic downtown.
