The Benefits of a Wardrobe Uniform

On the days I don't feel like putting a lot of effort into getting dressed, I rely on one of my wardrobe uniforms. In this case, it’s a white top + black leggings.

Having a uniform doesn't mean wearing the same outfit over and over. Rather, it's about following a formula that makes getting dressed easier. I start with the uniform then add accessories to change the look.

I challenge myself to shop my closet, where I’m continually “finding” new items like this python print scarf. It’s been years since I’ve worn it. It’s a shame that it was tucked away and forgotten. it was like getting something new, but for free.

What I like most about wardrobe uniforms is that it reduces the number of decisions I have to make in a day. The less time and energy spent on choosing an outfit means more time and energy to spend on other things. The amount may seem small, but it adds up over time.
