My Winter Uniform | Styled 10 Different Ways

Recently I’ve started following the The Afrominimalist on instagram. I was instantly attracted to her aesthetic and drawn to her message of #lessisliberation. I by no means consider myself a minimalist, nor do I aspire to be one. However, I am a proponent of letting go of excess.

As I learn more about the history of Black consumerism and what drives us to accumulate lots of stuff, I've become more aware of my own buying habits. Especially when it comes to what I’m purchasing to hang in my closet. I still like to buy clothes. I'm just more thoughtful about the process.

One of the ways I’m able to put this into practice is anchoring my closet with uniforms. Dressing with uniforms (or a fashion formula) not only saves me time, money, and energy; it also helps me do more with less.
