Celebrating With Friends

I miss getting together with my friends. I didn’t realize how life-affirming these connections were until our gatherings were put on hold due to Covid restrictions. For this evening, we came together to celebrate with a friend who had received a well-deserved, long-awaited promotion. This was a special occasion deserving of a festive tablescape to match.

The Plan

Being mindful that we would be at a restaurant, my goal was to minimize disruption to the restaurant staff and other diners. The entire look could be constructed and deconstructed in just a matter of seconds using just a few high impact items.

Part of my prep is staging different looks until I find something that feels right. I take photos because it gives me a different perspective from seeing it in real-time and helps me make faster decisions.

I was thrilled to share in this moment and contribute a special touch. A final reminder that even in these Covid-impacted times, it’s important to stay connected with family and friends. Being able to catch up with the girls over Lemon Drops and steaks brought joy to my heart. Let’s do it again, soon.
