Rothy's Shoes | A Growing Addiction

Rothy's Shoes | A Growing Addiction

I may have a growing addiction to Rothy's shoes. I recently purchased my fifth pair.

Rothy's is a shoe and handbag company that makes sustainable, wearable items knit from recycled water bottles. They are exceptionally comfortable, washable, and come in a variety of styles and colors.

Since these will be replacements for my red flats which I wore completely out, I'm not counting them as a net new addition to the collection. But I do anticipate buying more Rothy's in the future. I have my eye specifically on this pair and this pair. I would also consider trying their loafer and sneaker styles.

Why so many Rothy's? Mainly because they're comfortable. And cute! As you can see from the photo gallery, they are a versatile part of my wardrobe. They also travel well and can easily go from office to airport without sacrificing comfort or style. I'm still perfecting the sizing, but 10.5 fits true to size for me in every style except for The Flat. I would suggest sizing up for the rounded toe.

My Rothy’s Collection

The Point

Color: Leopard (retired)
Size: 10.5

These were my first pair of Rothy's. They were a Christmas gift from my daughter. Once I tried them on they felt so comfortable I didn't want to take them off. I knew in that moment that a second pair of Rothy's was in my future.

This is a perfect neutral to wear with denim. The pointed toe gives me extra space, so the 10.5 fits perfectly for me.

The Flat

Color: Bright Red
Size: 10.5

These were also a gift. I gushed about my first pair so much that a friend bought me a pair for my birthday. The red color was their idea, not mine. At the time it felt like a bold choice. Today, I don't ever want to be without a pair of red shoes.

I wear a lot of neutrals and reach for these shoes often to give me that pop of color to set off an outfit. The rounded toe doesn't give me as much space around the toes. For my next pair of flats, I'll be sizing up.

The Driver

Color: Navy Sapphire
Size: 11

I chose this shoe for its color rather than its style. Last summer I'd been looking for shoes to complement my capsule wardrobe's color palette and was drawn to this stunning shade of navy. It was also a chance to try Rothy's in a different shoe style.

I like that it's a classic loafer style with unbeatable all-day comfort. The size 11 is very roomy. For my next Driver, I will probably try the 10.5.

The Captoe

Color: Camel Captoe
Size: 11

Having a camel captoe shoe was a wishlist for my closet. When Rothy's released their version, it turned out to be just what I needed. I kind of wish I had gotten it in the flat style for a more traditional look. The pointed toe gives it a more formal look which will be ideal for return to office outfits.

I haven't worn these much. I anticipate they will be more of a summer shoe like the leopard flats. The size 11 fits well, but I prefer the closer fit of 10.5 in The Point.
