A Solid Foundation | Turtleneck + Pencil Skirt (Lookbook)

When you want to build something that stands the test of time, you have to start with a solid foundation. This is true when constructing a house or building a relationship. It's also true for when you want to curate a wardrobe that you love.

My goal for 2021 is to focus on my personal style and be more thoughtful and intentional with my clothes purchases which is why I'm strongly considering the 5-piece French approach to my closet. It's a type of capsule wardrobe that builds on solid, well built classics that you’ll wear over and over again.

I'm not a jeans and t-shirt kinda gal (the most common recommendations for basics), so my first step will be figuring out what mine are. I'm pretty certain that a solid turtleneck and black pencil skirt, as shown in the photo, will be included. And I've already started mixing it up.
