Fall-Themed Gift Box

I'm always doing mini life experiments as a way to discover new things and new things about myself. One such set of experiments led to me creating these Old Fashioned cocktail kits.

But, I couldn't stop there. I had to keep going. I had to co-ooordinate an entire gift box around it. 😂 I enjoy putting together themed gift boxes. It's a way for me to combine two of my joys: creating curated experiences and giving thoughtful gifts.

While the cocktail kit spurred the creation of this exercise, it was the plaid scarf that provided the overall style inspiration for the fall-theme. I found them at the Target Dollar Spot and I thought they would make lovely take home gifts for dinner guests. Since that won't be happening for a while, into the gift box they went.

Pulling all of this together turned out be an expirement of its own. I learned there's a lot to consider when curating a themed box such as the sourcing of items, the overall budget, the weight of the contents (especially if it will be shipped), and even the size and shape of the actual box (you'll want to make sure all the contents will fit inside).

I was very pleased with how everything came together, including all the paper items. Both the contents card and greeting card were made using the Yay Day Paper collection for November. Being that they are digital downloads, you get lots of flexibility to customize to your needs.

The best part was being able to share these with my budding online community. I gave away 5 boxes in total as a way of showing appreciation for their support.
