Saturday Sips | 7 Ways to Enjoy Tercet Cognac

With National Cognac Day being this past Friday, this weekend seemed the perfect time to try Rémy Martin Tercet Cognac. Inspired by the Wine Master, the Master Distiller and the Cellar Master, it’s a trifecta of creative power.

Cognac is not usually on my list of warm weather drinks. This Tercet however, may have me rethinking that position. It has a bold and fruity taste that holds up over ice and pairs well with fresh pineapple.

1. SERVED NEAT

Straight out of the bottle is best to enjoy the bold and rich flavors of coganc. For Tercet, a burgandy wine glass is the ideal shape because it concentrates the aromas of the blend.

2. CHILLED OR OVER ICE

This is the ideal way to enjoy Tercet during the warm weather months. The high alcohol content can stand up to dilution that occurs as the ice melts.

As I was reseavhing mealn pairings, I learned that sushi is a perfect complement with its raw tuna, salmon and eel.

4. WITH FRUITS & CHEESES

Tercet pairs especially well with fresh pineapple. For this station I also included dried apricots, cave-aged gouda, and dark chocolate beans to create a pre or post-dinner snack.

5. WITH GRAND MARNIER

Adding a splash of this Cognac-based liquer adds a touch of sweetness and citrus flavoring that enhances the fruity flavors inherent in the Tercet.

6. AFTER ICE CREAM
