Plan for the Future. Live in the Present
During my childhood I must have walked this stretch of road a million times or more. Yet, yesterday was the first time I stopped to notice the beauty of it.
As a child, and especially as a teen, I was too busy focusing on other things. Things like moving away from the country to a big city, and living in a high-rise apartment, and having sidewalks, and not needing a car to get to the grocery store, and traveling the world.
It all eventually happened for me, but I was so focused on looking ahead that I couldn't appreciate the good things in front of me.
A reminder to plan for the future, but live in the present.
